Behind the scenes @Hestia HQ as we launch our new website…and we go live, let us introduce ourselves and tell you about us and what we do. 

It all started with Rachel and Sarah, on 1st October 2020. Two designers with a shared love for both home decor and interior design.

We needed a company name, that we both loved, a name that represented us and what we wanted to embody! We looked into many options and ideas, then we came across the Greek goddess of the Heath, Home, and Hospitality; HESTIA!

At Hestia, we aim to bring you the best in home decor and design—tailored to your individual needs. Your space should reflect who you are, so let us help you create bespoke pieces that are unique, timeless, and functional. We pride ourselves on our customer service and client relationships, with the aim to provide you with an experience that is both enjoyable and stress-free.

We’re passionate about what we do, and this shows in the quality of our work. Hestia aims to bring high quality products at affordable prices while maintaining a level of professionalism that can only be found in the best designers.

The designers behind the brand:

Rachel is originally from Birmingham, with a lifetime love of design, colour and textures, Rachel’s background is textiles design, graduating from Huddersfield University in 2003 with a BSc (Hons), she went on to work in London for the in-house design team for M&S home, and interior designer for Laura Ashley to name a few.

Having travelled and lived in Boston and Australia she met her Husband, who is from Dundalk. They moved back over 12 years ago, now a busy mom of two boys and the pet dog, the town is now home.

Rachel’s love for design lies within the possibilities to transforming a space into a place to love, adding warmth and personality with the use of layering fabrics and colour, a place to create memories for years to come… a place where you look forward to coming home to.

Sarah has over 10 years’ experience working in the design industry, she has had a passion for design since she was a young girl. She has always loved creating beautiful things and is enthusiastic about creating interiors that are both functional and full of character. Sarah studied Visual merchandising and display in Dublin Institute of Technology and has had the opportunity to work with some of the largest retail groups in Ireland, including Harry Corry’s head office, Mango, Debenhams flagship store, and Arnott’s Selfridges Group, alongside an Interior Design firm.

Her favourite style of interiors is Japandi- the intersection of Scandinavian and modern Japanese interior design styles. Both, rooted in minimalist design principles, with a focus on warmth, natural elements, and muted colour palettes.

When Sarah isn’t working on Interior Design or Visual Merchandising projects, you can normally find her walking her dogs, travelling to a different city, planning her wedding, reading or enjoying a cheeky espresso martini (or two) at the weekend.
